The mitigation-over-time mechanic might work fine for PVE but it's trash in PVPV.I haven’t PvPed in SL yet, I just hit 60 and I’m still trying to get all the required PvE done. So sure, I've macro'd some 'oh snap I'm stunned' cooldowns to pop all that faster but it's still not enough. So like in a 2 second window you need to pop trink, escape, pop keg smash (for shuffle) and fortifying brew and I just don't see how it's possible to do before the rogue literally presses 2 buttons to stealth and stun you again. You can get stunned and wait it out and hope you mitigate some of or trinket, pop transcendence, escape somehow only to get stunned again and be left out of options. Surviving stun locks, which, if you are a brewmaster in PVP and you are guarding bases or running with flags - surviving stuns is key but near impossible against a beast assassin rogue. Even though I macro chi torpedo with tiger's lust to get a little more out of an escape but it's not the same as double chi torpedo on MW.Īs for mitigation I just don't know where to get more of it or if the spec is really built for it. The toolset just isn't there and while there are some awesome bits like ring of peace, chi torpedo, and transcendence which are all nice - they aren't helping you mitigate direct incoming damage. Mistweaver is my main but I have been dabbling with brewmaster in PVP just so I can try to fill the tank slot in RBG more - which was a bad idea. You don't get as much of the kitey toolset that MistWeaver gets. You can swap it out for Crimson Gladiator's Emblem to get a defensive on-use health buff, which is great for surviving bursts of incoming damage. Effectively using this trinket can often be the difference between life and death.Ĭrimson Gladiator's Badge of Ferocity gives you an excellent Agility on-use effect that you can use to deal huge burst damage. The ability to break free from stuns is crucial for staying alive in tough situations, as you are most likely to be killed during a stunlock. Having Crimson Gladiator's Medallion equipped is important. This trinket bonus is pretty non-negotiable. The reduction in crowd control effect duration is very important, and the Agility and Stamina buff is a great bonus. Cast Rushing Jade Wind as a filler (if talented).īrewmaster Monk PvP Strengths and Weaknessesīest Brewmaster Monk PvP Trinkets in Dragonflightīrewmaster Monks will want to equip Crimson Gladiator's Medallion and Crimson Gladiator's Badge of Ferocity for the PvP set bonus.Use offensive cooldowns! There’s literally too many to list here!.Try to line up your offensive cooldowns with your teammates’ burst damage windows. You will spend a lot of time being kited, so being able to use it perfectly on cooldown may not be realistic. You want to use the same rotation in PvP as you do in PvE, but emphasize hitting Rising Sun Kick on priority targets whenever possible. In PvP, Brewmaster Monks will want to maintain the same secondary stat priority as usual: Versatility > Critical Strike > Mastery = Haste.
